Please read the following before submitting a request for assistance:
Did you know that Montgomery and Harris county shelters kill approximately 275 animals per day? A shelter should be the absolute last resort for someone trying to give up a pet.

Let us try and help you address whatever issue you are facing which is causing you to have to give up your pet. Texas Litter Control is not a shelter and we will not take your pet. We are offering advice that you might not have thought of in hopes we can help you keep your pet. If you need help rehoming your pet, it will take time. Please do not contact us if you need to get rid of your pet immediately. We have no way to help you and we will not answer the request.

This service is staffed by volunteers. Our volunteers will try and help you work out whatever issue you are having that is causing you to have to give up your pet. Please do not make threats about harming animals. People threatening to harm animals will be reported to law enforcement immediately.

All submissions are reviewed and answered depending upon the urgency. All emails will be responded to within 3 business days.

We collect census data for grant writing purposes only. Decisions are 100% needs and supply availability based. We thank you in advance for helping us collect data to raise more money for this program.
