Submissions
You may enter up to three (3) pieces of recent work. The maximum size of pieces that can be displayed in the locked cases is 18″ x 18″ x 18″. Due to the space limitations, all three works may not be selected. Please submit your works in order of priority.
Artists planning on submitting very large or heavy pieces should plan on delivering and installing them at the Gallery. Please contact exhibitions@seattlemetalsguild.org if you have any questions about the suitability of your artwork.
Each display label will include either the retail price or “NFS” (Not for Sale) alongside the artwork title. If a viewer is interested in purchasing a piece, SMG will share the artist’s email address (as provided on the application) so the viewer can contact the artist directly. Artists are responsible for coordinating all transactions and delivery of sold work.
For other questions, to participate, or to volunteer for this exhibition, please contact the committee chairperson at exhibitions@seattlemetalsguild.org.
To participate in the Biennial, you must be a current member. If you are not a current member, please renew here: Member Update
In the last biennial, sharing process materials—such as sketches, notes, and drafts—was a highlight for visitors, who enjoyed seeing the creative journey behind the finished works. We are excited to continue this theme and encourage you to bring copies of your process documents (e.g., sketchbooks, photos, prototypes, storyboards) for display with your completed pieces.
