    If you wish to apply for approval of three or more activities at once, please contact the CPD unit prior to filling out your application at cpd@acem.org.au.

  • Excluding registration and housekeeping.
    The duration must be verified by an attached
    activity program/timetable/schedule.

    For an activity to be approved it must meet the selected CPD category criteria below, and be a minimum of 15 minutes in duration.

  • It is not mandatory for your activity to address a Health Outcome. Only select a Health Outcome if it is relevant to your activity.

    If you do choose to select one or more Health Outcomes, you must explain how your activity addresses them by uploading the ACEM CPD Activity Learning Outcome Session Plan in the required attachments section.

     

  • Culturally Safe Practice

    Activities that address Culturally Safe Practice involve genuine efforts to understand the cultural needs and contexts of different patients to obtain good health outcomes. This includes:

    • Having knowledge of, respect for, and sensitivity towards, the cultural needs of the community you serve, including those of Indigenous Australians and / or Indigenous New Zealanders.
    • Acknowledging the social, economic, cultural, and behavioural factors influencing health, both at individual and population levels.
    • Understanding that your own culture and beliefs influence your interactions with patients.
    • Adapting your practice to improve patient engagement and health care outcomes.

  • Professionalism

    Activities that address Professionalism involve developing participants’ self-awareness and self-reflection by refining and developing their skills, knowledge and clinical judgment with an aim to practise medicine safely and effectively.

  • Addressing Health Inequities

    Activities that address Addressing Health Inequities involve developing participants’ expertise and influence in identifying and addressing healthcare inequities and protecting and advancing the health and wellbeing of individual patients, communities, and populations.

  • Ethical Practice

    Activities that address Ethical Practice involve developing participants’ understanding of how to demonstrate a standard of behaviour in their professional lives that warrants the trust and respect of their communities.

  • Domains of Practice

    Please select which domain(s) of practice as per the ACEM Curriculum is addressed in your activity. 

    Indicate the Domains of Practice that apply to the activity and how these outcomes will address the ACEM Curriculum Framework. All activities must address at least one Domain of Practice.

  • Wellbeing-based Activity

  • It is not mandatory for activities to be Wellbeing based. Indicate if and how your activity addresses any of the Wellbeing Activity Criteria below. Please only select if relevant to your activity.

  • Acknowledgement and Payment

  • Applications will not be processed if:

    • The ACEM CPD Activity Learning Outcomes session plan is not provided
    • Payment information is omitted/incomplete/inaccurate, or if payment is declined

    Cancellation of your ACEM Activity Approval

    The ACEM CPD Committee reserves the right to revoke approval of any activity if:

    • You do not distribute the ACEM CPD Activity Approval Evaluation form to participating ACEM CPD participants, directly following the activity
    • You do not provide ACEM CPD with a list of all ACEM CPD Participants who have completed the activity
    • Feedback from participants indicates that the required elements of the activity were not met
    • You are displaying incorrect or outdated information in relation to ACEM CPD Activity Approval (including the use of an out-of-date ACEM CPD Activity approval logo)
    • You are using the ACEM College logo without College permission

  • Payment

    Please note: if the provider/organisation is a registered charity, not-for-profit, providing this activity pro-bono, or there is no fee payable by delegates to participate/attend the activity, the application fee will be waived by the College.

  • Acknowledgement

     

    I acknowledge that:

    • ACEM CPD activity approval does NOT imply endorsement of the activity
    • ACEM CPD activity approval does NOT permit use of the College logo, but does include the use of the ACEM CPD Activity approval logo.
    • The ACEM CPD Committee reserves the right to revoke activity approval if the post activity requirement is not provided or the CPD Unit receive feedback from participants indicating required elements of the activity are not met.
    • I am obligated to invite ACEM CPD participants to provide feedback using the ACEM CPD Activity Approval Evaluation Form provided
    • That the required elements listed on the previous page are addressed with this activity

  • Upon completing this form you will be sent a copy, we recommend keeping it for your records and to assist you when seeking re-approval.
