  • Please carefully review the speaker agreement and terms detailed below. Each presenter in your workshop will receive their own agreement and must accept individually. You will receive a copy of the agreement by email after signing.

    If we have not received your signed agreement by this date, we will consider the invitation declined.

  • Agreement Details

  • This Agreement is made and entered into by and between SHARED HOPE INTERNATIONAL (“ORGANIZATION”), a non-profit organization with offices at 1016 16TH Street NW, Washington, DC 20036, and the above-named person, an individual 18 years of age or older, (“SPEAKER”). 

    SPEAKER and ORGANIZATION agree as follows: 

    I. Event Specific Details 

    a. SPEAKER shall participate in an individual presentation, group presentation, or moderated panel discussion, to be held at the JuST Training Conference in Orlando, FL, October 14-16, 2025 (the “Event”).

    b. In preparation, the SPEAKER agrees to:

    1. meet all program-related deadlines provided to him/her by ORGANIZATION, including but not limited to deadlines for slides, handouts, A/V requests, etc.;

    2. participate in rehearsal/prep sessions as requested and at mutually convenient times to be arranged;

    3. promote his/her session through the SPEAKER’s social networks, as permitted by their organization’s social media policies (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, personal and company websites, etc.);

    4. provide a copy of his/her presentation for content review in advance by the requested deadline

    5. If possible the SPEAKER will also send a press release through their organization (ORGANIZATION to provide a customizable template) provided ORGANIZATION reviews and approves such press release prior to its distribution. 

    II. General Terms and Conditions 

    a.    With respect to the SPEAKER’s participation in the Event: 

    1. SPEAKER shall own the copyright in all materials provided for, or created by SPEAKER at the Event except for materials specifically created solely for ORGANIZATION’s use or materials incorporating ORGANIZATION’s intellectual property. To the extent the SPEAKER provides their intellectual property to ORGANIZATION for use in the Event, SPEAKER grants ORGANIZATION a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to use, reproduce, and distribute the intellectual property in connection with the Event; 

    2. SPEAKER grants ORGANIZATION and its agents, licensees, members, and employees a royalty-free, perpetual license to publish, reproduce or otherwise use the SPEAKER’s name, picture, likeness, comments, voice for any lawful purpose in all media in connection with the Event; 

    3. SPEAKER is knowingly and voluntarily taking part in the activities for which their image is being captured (photo, video and audio) and understands the associated requirements; 

    4. Some workshops may be filmed for educational, marketing, or promotional purposes. By participating as a workshop presenter, SPEAKER agrees to their workshop being recorded in this manner; 

    5. SPEAKER releases and waives any and all claims, damages, losses and expenses as a result of, or arising from, their participation; 

    6. To the best of SPEAKER’s knowledge, their presentation does not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark, or privacy rights), is factually accurate, and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful or inappropriate; 

    7. SPEAKER has obtained all necessary licenses and permissions for any third party intellectual property including, but not limited to, music, video or other media shown as part of the SPEAKER’s presentation; 

    8. SPEAKER shall conduct themselves in a professional and civil manner and in accordance with the ORGANIZATION Code of Ethics; 

    9. SPEAKER agrees that no portion of the resulting media created at the Event, containing SPEAKER’s name, biographical information, quotes, photographs, or recorded interviews needs to be submitted for any approval. 

    10. As acknowledged when submitting the workshop proposal for consideration, SPEAKER further agrees to: 

    a. Repeat their workshop if scheduled to do so;

    b. Be available to present on any day throughout the conference period of October 14-16, 2025;

    c. Not use presentation time as a platform to sell service(s) and/or program(s);

    d. Submit handouts and/or a pdf of my presentation by the required deadline(s) and abide by presenter deadlines as communicated;

    e. Not livestream or record their session;

    f. Keep remarks during the workshop presentation(s) non-partisan. 

    III.  Non-Discrimination 

    ORGANIZATION prohibits discrimination, harassment or bullying against any person because of age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, gender identity, appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. ORGANIZATION expects that the SPEAKER shall maintain an environment free of discrimination, including harassment, bullying, or retaliation when and wherever those individuals are conducting ORGANIZATION business or participating in ORGANIZATION events or activities. 

    IV. Indemnification 

    a. SPEAKER shall indemnify, release, defend, and hold harmless ORGANIZATION, its directors, officers and employees from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of a third party claim, action, or proceeding, based directly or indirectly on any breach of SPEAKER's warranties contained herein or arising from or relating to SPEAKER's performance under this Agreement. 

    b. ORGANIZATION shall indemnify, release, defend, and hold harmless the SPEAKER from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of a third party claim, action, or proceeding, based directly or indirectly on any breach of ORGANIZATION's warranties contained herein or arising from or relating to ORGANIZATION's performance under this Agreement. 

    V. Compensation and Expenses 

    a. ORGANIZATION will provide the following: 

    1. One complimentary conference registration per speaker, with a maximum of two complimentary registrations per workshop; additional speaker registrations are available at a discounted rate. No other compensation or honoraria will be provided. 

    b. Other compensation guidelines

    1. SPEAKER is responsible for all hotel and travel expenses, including parking, non-conference meals, and other incidental expenses

    2. SPEAKER agrees to keep the terms of this agreement confidential 

    VI. Cancellation and Force Majeure 

    a. SPEAKER agrees to notify ORGANIZATION’s program managers immediately in the event that unexpected circumstances should prevent him/her from meeting his/her obligation as a workshop presenter. Any substitution with a new SPEAKER shall require ORGANIZATION’s written approval and consent. 

    b. Should a SPEAKER be unable to participate and need to cancel this agreement, SPEAKER agrees to reimburse ORGANIZATION for any expenses incurred on their behalf

    c. None of the parties shall be liable to the other party for any delay or failure to perform arising out of causes beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, government authority, riots, epidemics, unusually severe weather, fire, floods, war, terrorism, embargoes, labor disputes or strikes. 

    VII.  Agreement

    a. The SPEAKER understands that his/her invitation to participate can be revoked at ORGANIZATION’s sole discretion if the SPEAKER fails to comply with any of the above obligations. 

    b. SPEAKER acknowledges that they have read and understand this document and what it means with respect to their participation. SPEAKER warrants, represents, and agrees that they have the full power and authority to enter into this agreement; and has obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any necessary individuals or organizations prior to the SPEAKER’s presentation.
