2025 SBCA Financial Performance Survey

Welcome to SBCA’s confidential Financial Performance Survey for Calendar Year 2024!

The purpose is to provide a means of collecting information that, when compiled, will assist SBCA members in making business financial decisions by comparing their relative performance to industry norms. It is NOT the intention of this survey to restrict competition in any way in the structural building component industry. While participation in this survey is highly recommended, it is voluntary. This survey has been pared down from previous versions to encourage participation and reduce the time and effort required to complete.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the general instructions below before answering the survey questions. Failure to follow all instructions will cause surveys to be unusable.

The information submitted should be for the 2024 calendar year or the fiscal period most closely related to 2024.
Every blank must be filled – either with data or zero. If actual data is not available, make the best possible estimate. Please double-check all calculations. It is important that you provide answers for all questions.
If your company owns more than one plant, fill out one survey per manufacturing plant location. Do not combine manufacturing plants onto one survey.
All information reported should relate only to your manufactured components: roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, LVL, I-Joists, Glulam, and subcomponents. Do not include conventional framing lumber and other material sales.
If you are a Canadian participant, please estimate your responses in USD.
If you need to fill out a portion of the survey and then return later to finish, select the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
To submit the survey, the “Submit” button on the last page must be selected.

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSES ARE CONFIDENTIAL
The final report will contain consolidated figures only, and no information will be identified with any specific company. No member of the SBCA Board of Directors or other component manufacturers will have access to the identity of individual reported figures. Limited SBCA staff with confidentiality agreements in place will view individual reported figures for completion purposes only.

Report Distribution
Component manufacturer members who participate in this Financnial Performance Survey will be provided access to the data free of charge. Survey results are not available to non-members, associates, or non-participating component manufacturers.
