As visitors and neighbors of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, you play an important role in protecting natural resources and keeping the preserves safe. There are many ways to get involved and do your part. First, let's make sure we're directing you to the correct action:
To Report an Emergency: Call 911
Emergencies include situations that require an immediate police response, where time is critical, for example, situations that threaten life or property, destroy natural resources, criminal activity, and/or unauthorized vehicles like ATVs riding in the preserves. In emergency situations, do not use a form. Call 911, and a Forest Preserve District police officer will be dispatched to the location, immediately.
To File a Non-Emergency Concern
with the Public Safety department:
Use the Report a Concern Form

The Report a Concern Form should only be used to report non-emergency situations that require police review. These situations do not threaten life or property, do not damage natural resources, and do not require an immediate response. Examples include lost property, found items, etc.
