Shin-Sen-Gumi Extra Noodle Challenge

 Competition Details/Rules

• The goal: eat as many extra noodles as you can in 15 minutes.
• The initial bowl of ramen and extra noodle will not be customizable to avoid any delays.
• The noodles in your initial bowl do not count toward your challenge total — only extra noodles eaten after finishing your first bowl will be counted.
• A $20 entry fee is required to participate and will be collected on the day of the event.
• Your entry fee includes one soup refill during the challenge.
• At the end of the 15-minute limit, any unfinished noodles in your bowl will be counted to the decimal by the judge.
• Leaving your seat during the competition will result in disqualification, and your final count will be tallied at that time.
• Regurgitation during or immediately after the competition will result in disqualification.
• A prize will be awarded after completing four extra noodles.
• Please note that seating is limited and participants will be seated on a first come first serve basis even if you have signed up for an entry. 
• Walk-ins are welcome, but participants who submit their entry prior to the event will be given priority.

Prize

• Exclusive Shin-Sen-Gumi Extra Noodle Challenge Hat (limited in quantity and color) - when completing four extra noodles.
• Extra Noodle Badge - participation prize (Each location has different color.)

Special Guest

Competitive eating legend Raina Huang will join us each week to take on the challenge!
Beat Raina’s day record, and win a $1,000 Shin-Sen-Gumi gift card!
(e.g. If she eats 12 extra noodles on 8/10, eat more than 12 extra noodles during 8/10 event to win $1,000, if she eats 15 extra noodles on 8/17, beat that record during 8/17 event to win $1,000!)

Terms of Agreement

By submitting this form, I, the participant, agree, acknowledge, and fully accept and assume all risks associated with before, during, or after the Shin-Sen-Gumi Extra Noodle Challenge. I agree to abide by the rules of the competition and to accept the decision of the judge(s). I certify that I am in good health and assume the inherent risks associated with the excess consumption of food and its short term and long term effects. I have read this waiver, and knowing the above stated facts, agree, for myself, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, to waive, release, and hold Shin-Sen-Gumi Restaurant Group including the employees and restaurant staff members and representatives, emergency personnel, and volunteers harmless from any and all claims, demands and actions I may or may have hereafter against the released party directly or indirectly arising or in relations to my participation in the competition and its related events.

I grant my permission to photograph, videotape and/or audiotape myself or my child during the contest. These photographs/videos/audios will remain the property of Shin-Sen-Gumi Restaurant Group (SSG) and may be used in advertising or marketing campaigns on SSG’s websites, and for promotional and informational material including, but not limited to, social media, flyers, brochures, newsletters, emails, advertisements, newspaper articles, TV or cable interviews/promotions.

If I am a minor, my parent or guardian is filing out this form on my behalf and we both agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement waiver and release. I understand my child will not be identified by name unless I give my express permission. I hereby waive and release on behalf of myself and/or my child, any rights to compensation for, or ownership of, such images and/or sounds.
