At the Intersection of Media, Luxury, and Celebrity Culture for More than 30 Years
Founder of Niche Media
Before launching DuJour Media, Binn founded Niche Media in 1992, creating publications tailored to the needs and interests of various cities. His magazines covered many towns with titles such as Aspen Peak, Boston Common, Capitol File, Hamptons, Ocean Drive, Gotham, Los Angeles Confidential, Michigan Avenue, Philadelphia Style, and Vegas. These publications shaped regional luxury publishing and supported his standing as a media professional.
By focusing on creating tailored magazines for specific locations, Jason connected to niche markets. Each publication had its character and audience focus. The magazines for Miami, the Hamptons, and New York City each developed a clear identity aligned with the lifestyles and interests of their local readers.
Niche Media also launched a custom publishing department that produced publications for events and notable clients, including Art Basel Miami Beach, Wynn Las Vegas, and the Short Hills Mall for a real estate organization.
Growing Niche Media into a recognized national media business and completing its sale were significant milestones for his success. In 2006, Binn sold the company to a media group and continued to serve as CEO. In 2007, the group purchased another media organization he founded. Following this acquisition, he oversaw operations and management until stepping down in 2010.
