Nominations must be submitted prior to close of business WEDNESDAY, October 29. To nominate a candidate, or to self-nominate, please complete the form below.

Nominees will be considered by the YANA Board Nominating Committee and then selected for a slate to be presented to the full Board for approval at its Annual Meeting in December.  Committee members are expected to be approved by the Board before the end of Q1 2026.

Committees include: Governance; Finance; Development; YANA-Dwight Hall Summer Fellowship; Conference Planning; and Program. Committee members should expect to dedicate at least 5 hours a month.

Nominees must hold a degree from Yale.  Note that the YANA Board is a working board and we will prioritize candidates who can dedicate at least 8 hours a month. We are also looking for candidates:

    • From all class years and all Yale undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs- representing the full diversity of the Yale community

There are specific time and financial expectations that come with YANA Board membership:

    • Nine board meetings per year which typically occur on the last Wednesday of the designated month starting at 4:30pm EST
    • An annual board retreat, usually a weekend in February, with in-person attendance expected
    • Active participation on at least one committee
    • An annual give/get requirement
    • All board members are expected to include YANA among their Top 3 charities for support
