Arts & Crafty are an offering of two distinct types of art classes, fine art and crafting.
The Fine Art Studio will teach art fundamentals and build a portfolio of work to show ath the end of the semester. Some examples of what we'll learn includes intro to watercolor, portraiture, pen and ink, and printmaking.
Crafting is still art, but not typically included in most traditional art classes. It could include weaving, sculpting, sewing, papermaking, beading-- fun stuff! These are not "crafts" in the sense that we have come to think of them (something that hits the trashcan within 24 hours of completion). These are treasures that you and your child will want to keep-- and use! Plus it's skill-building: win-win (and super-cool).
We will be covering much of the above-mentioned examples, taking an average of 2 weeks to complete a project, with up to 12 crafts over the course of the semester.
