  • MANDATORY DATES

If you become a Local MISS or TEEN Titleholder, you will be required to attend the following MANDATORY Miss Ohio/Miss Ohio's Teen State Events:

    • Spring Forum - Saturday, April 3, 2027
    • Miss Ohio Week 2027 - June 12-19, 2027

The following are optional but highly encouraged:

    • Golf Outing Fundraiser - Saturday, May 8, 2027
    • Camping Retreat Weekend - May 14-16, 2027- Miss Titleholders Only!

Event dates are subject to change.

If you have a school-related event during the Spring Forum, we will require a letter from the school detailing the event and confirming that it is school-related and mandatory for you to attend.

Once the MOSP Board of Directors receives this information, they will vote on whether it can be excused. If this is not excused, it is possible that you will not be eligible to compete at Miss Ohio or Miss Ohio's Teen in June 2027.

If you miss the Spring Forum due to a school-related event, you will need to obtain any and all information that was either distributed or discussed from your local director or an appointed MOSP person to review what was presented.

  • NO SHOW RULES

If a contestant submits the Entry Form for a local competition and does not show up for two of them in one competition year, July to March, she will be ineligible to compete within the Miss Ohio System for a full calendar year from the date of the second unexcused absence.

EXAMPLE: A contestant has an unexcused absence on September 5, 2026 and a second unexcused absence on November 15, 2026. That contestant is ineligible to compete until November 15, 2027.

    • Excuses agreed upon by the local directors (still the local director’s discretion of whether to excuse the contestant or not): death in the family, illness with a doctor’s note / sudden illness under the discretion of the director, work-related with documentation from the employer, school-related with documentation from the school.
    • Each local director will notify the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program of the names of contestants who did not show up, along with the reason for their absence and whether they were excused.
    • The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program will send out a notification when a contestant is ineligible to compete. This notice will include the date she can compete again.
