Go Green Home - Landscaping Program Details:

The goal of the Go Green Home - Landscaping Program is to provide vouchers to households located in state-designated Disadvantaged Communities to help offset the cost of new, zero-emission lawn and garden equipment while replacing older combustion equipment. 

The existing gas- or diesel-powered equipment must be in operational condition and must have been owned and operated by the applicant for at least two years. Replacement equipment must be new, cordless, zero emission, and serve the same function as the existing equipment being replaced. Retroactive purchases are not allowed. Vouchers can only be redeemed with participating merchants.

Eligible Applicants:

Only homeowners and renters residing in state-designated Disadvantaged Communities located within the District's boundaries are eligible. This includes the northern portion of West Sacramento, Rio Vista and the surrounding areas, and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation.

Voucher Process:

1. Apply for one or more vouchers by completing and submitting this form.
2. If approved, the District will issue you a voucher for each piece of equipment to be replaced.
3. Redeem your voucher(s) with the participating merchant(s) of your choice, and they will apply a point-of-sale discount equal to the voucher amount to the purchase price of the new equipment. Bring your existing equipment with you when you go to redeem your voucher so that the merchant can verify that it is operational. 
4. Before receiving your new equipment from the participating merchant(s) of your choice, surrender your old combusion equipment to the participating merchant(s) to be scrapped.

Voucher Amounts:

District Boundaries

The map below shows the boundaries of the District. In order to be eligible to participate in this program, households must be located within the District.

The District covers all of Yolo County and the northeastern portion of Solano County, including the cities of Dixon, Rio Vista, and Vacaville. 

If you need assistance determining if your household is located in the District, please email your household's address to greenlandscaping@ysaqmd.org.

Unfortunately, your household is ineligible to participate because it is located outside of the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District's boundaries. 

If your household is located in Solano County outside of the District's boundaries, you can contact the Bay Area Air District for further assistance at 415-749-4900. 

If your household is located in Sacramento County, you can contact the Sacramento Metropolian Air Quality Management District at 279-207-1122.

Unfortunately, your household is not currently eligible to receive vouchers through the District's Residential Lawn and Garden Program. Due to funding availability, only households located in state-designated Disadvantaged Communities, as shown in the yellow and green areas of the previous map, are eligible at this time.

Maximum Funding Request Exceeded

The voucher funding requested in the previous entry exceeded the maximum voucher amount per applicant. Please go back to the previous entry and remove pieces of equipment until the total voucher funding requested is at or below $2,500.00.

Partial voucher funding is also available for one piece of equipment.

For example, if you requested funding for one ride-on mower and two chainsaws, the total funding request would be $2,600. This exceeds the maximum funding per applicant by $100, so you can request for one of your vouchers to be reduced by $100. If you requested for the reduced voucher to be for a chainsaw, then you would receive one ride-on mower voucher for $2,000, one chainsaw voucher for $300, and one reduced chainsaw voucher for $200.

Applicant Certification

I certify the following:

• The applicant resides in the State of California at the address indicated in this application.
• The existing lawn & garden equipment to be replaced is currently owned and operated by the applicant, is operational, and has been owned and operated by the applicant for at least two years.
• The applicant intends to own and operate the new, cordless zero-emission electric lawn & garden equipment in California for a minimum of 36 months and is not acquiring the replacement lawn & garden equipment for resale.
• The applicant has disclosed all additional co-funding sources and discounts that will be applied to this purchase.
• The applicant has not purchased replacement equipment that they are seeking funding for prior to applying to this program.
• I understand that if I qualify, I will receive a voucher for each eligible piece of equipment and a current list of Participating Merchants who will honor the voucher if it is submitted by the expiration date written on the voucher.
• I understand that I must receive an approved program voucher from the Air District prior to purchasing the new equipment or destroying the old equipment.
• I understand that an incomplete or illegible application may be immediately rejected, and I will be notified.
• I understand as an applicant that incentive programs have limited funds and shall terminate upon depletion of program funding.
• I understand that the existing combustion equipment must be surrendered to the Participating Merchant in operational condition within 30 days of the purchase of new equipment.
• I understand that I am responsible to pay the Participating Merchant for the purchase price of new equipment, less the voucher amount.
• The Air District issuing the voucher does not warranty any equipment purchased under this voucher program, including, but not limited to, the quality or functionality of the lawn & garden equipment.
• Applications will be treated in accordance with Public Records Act requirements. Certain information, subject to those requirements, may be publicly disclosed.
