    Learning Outcomes:
    • Define the role of occupational therapy in feeding, eating and swallowing.

     

    • Identify additional community and professional supports that may be needed for collaboration of care with feeding, eating, and swallowing interventions.

     

    • Identify post professional education opportunities to support clinical practice in feeding, eating and swallowing.
     

    About the Speaker:

    Kimberly Edwards is an occupational therapist, certified lactation counselor and partner at Mealtime Connections (established in 2007). Kimberly moved to Tucson in 1980, graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 1995 and from Arizona School of Health Sciences (AT Still) with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1999. Kimberly has been working in pediatrics from the beginning with experience in school districts, outpatient, and community based services including AZEIP, Project Intensive Caring, and Smooth Way Home with an emphasis on family support and feeding the medically fragile infant and child.

    When: July 15, 6-7 pm via zoom

    Cost: Free for ArizOTA members; $10 for non-members

    CEUs: Those who attend this presentation live will earn 1 CEU credit. You will complete an attestation form to immediately receive your CEU certificate following the event.
