~WELCOME TO BAND CAMP~
Katy Youth Symphony is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young musicians to grow and excel in their craft. Our camps offer a unique opportunity for students to fine-tune their skills, learn from experienced instructors, and collaborate with other talented individuals.
Participating musicians will choose between,
~ Instrument specific sectionals - with professional musicians, focusing on Band repertoire.
~ Other electives; Music Theory , Music History, Piano Basics
~ Fun activities, and collaborative games!
Intermediate - Advanced rising 8th Grade / High School aged participants will have the opportunity to:
~ Participate in advanced ensemble coaching with experienced band directors and instructors, focusing on improving technique, tone production, musical expression, and ensemble communication.
~ Receive masterclass instruction from professional wind, brass, and percussion musicians, with emphasis on solo repertoire and performance skills.
~ Engage in small ensemble and sectional training, providing personalized instruction and valuable experience in collaborative music-making and performance readiness.
All Students will perform in a final concert, showcasing their progress and artistry in front of family, friends, and the community.
This program is designed to challenge and inspire students at a higher level, preparing them for future musical endeavors & personal artistic growth.
Pizza lunch will be provided for all participants on the last day of camp.

DATES: July 28th - July 31st (4 DAYS)
TIME: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (daily)
LOCATION: MON - THU @PowerHouse Church -Katy

REQUIREMENTS: Open to Middle & High School BAND musicians with 1+ years of experience ( Flutes, Oboes, Clarinets, Saxophones, Trumpets, Horns, Trombones).
COST: $220 (20% Sibling Discounts Available) at checkout
$50 non refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to secure a place at camp. Need-based financial-aid is available.
