Water System Operator Job Application

The Mid-Peninsula Water District (MPWD), an independent special district proudly serving Belmont, California, and surrounding areas, has delivered high-quality drinking water to the community for over 95 years. We are excited to announce two openings for highly motivated Maintenance Technicians and/or Water Systems Operators to join our dedicated, community-focused operations team. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, you will play a vital role in maintaining and operating a system that includes over 90 miles of pipeline, and serving more than 8,100 customer connections. This is an opportunity to contribute to a trusted public service organization and make a meaningful impact in the community every day.

The ideal candidate is passionate about serving the community and ensuring safe, reliable water service for every customer. They are eager to learn about drinking water distribution systems and the important work that it takes every day to maintain and operate these systems to deliver reliable and high quaility water to the community. They thrive in a team environment, bring a positive attitude to every task, and are eager to learn and grow in their role. This position works hands-on in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the District’s water distribution system, helping to keep our community’s water flowing efficiently and safely.
