Pool Fill Guidelines
Swimming pools must be filled one time between March 1st and October 31st (excluding weekends) in order to qualify for a utility water bill adjustment. Only the wastewater portion of the applicable bill is eligible for a pool fill adjustment.

24-hour notice is required from date of form submittal (excludes Weekends & Holidays).

Adjustments are only granted for pools that require more than 5,000 gallons of water.

Initial under each statement below to acknowledge you understand and meet the adjustment requirements.
Pool filling must occur on weekdays, Monday through Friday, and must be completed within three days.*
Pool filling must be completed by 4 p.m. on Friday to allow the Town of Princeton the opportunity to read the meter. (Filling must be completed within the same week.)*
A swimming pool fill adjustment request form must be submitted at least two business days prior to filling the pool.*
Swimming pool fill adjustments are for private residential pools only.*
You must have an approved Town of Princeton pool permit # in order to qualify for adjustment.*
In order to qualify, the meter must be read before and after the pool filling to determine water usage.*
The meter must indicate usage of at least 5,000 gallons above normal wastewater consumption for the customer to qualify for an adjustment. If less water is used, no adjustment is given.*

- The pool fill adjustment credit is determined by subtracting 50% of the established three-month wastewater usage billing average from the total wastewater usage cost during the billing period when the pool was filled.
- Please note, it is important to complete the pool filling by the scheduled time so the meter can be read and an adjustment can be made.
- Adjustments may take up to 10 business days for processing before your account receives the credit. Late fees incurred due to non-payment of bill amounts will not be waived.
