NYSOFA has several cases of Deterra drug deactivation and disposal pouches available at no charge for Area Agencies on Aging and community partners. The pouches can be distributed to help older adults in your community safely dispose of unneeded or expired medications and reduce the risk of adverse drug events.

Deterra Pouches are designed to destroy unwanted or expired medications safely and permanently. Once activated, the pouches can be disposed in the normal trash. They are easy to use at home or in a clinical setting.

How to Order

Complete the form below to order pouches free of charge and NYSOFA will deliver them to you. Pouches are available on a first-come-first served basis (no limit). Note: each box comes with 100 pouches. Box dimensions are 16x10x20 inches.
