Rookie Lifeguard membership is included in the Junior Surf membership or stand-alone. If you have already joined Junior Surf there is no additional fee but please complete this form for the rookie programme registration.

Personal information collected is for use by both SLSNZ and the Club, including in assessing suitability for membership; health and safety record, disciplinary actions, inter-club activities, SLSNZ events and transfer of membership. Reasonable security safeguards will protect member’s stored data which will only be shared at a Board or administrative level if requested by SLSNZ or other Club’s Board Members.

The Rookie Programme has been designed to help Junior Surf members and young people prepare to become a surf lifeguard. The Rookie Programme aims to promote “practical lifeguarding” to younger members and develop strong ties between senior and junior members as a result of involvement. The target audience for this programme is 12-13 year old junior surf members wishing to become a surf lifeguards in the next or coming season.

Uniform

A rookie uniform of polo shirt, shorts and cap will be provided. Please ensure this is cleaned and returned at the end of the season. Lost uniforms will incur a $50 replacement fee charge.

Rookie membership is included in the Junior Surf membership fees and requires no further payment. If you are not a member of Junior Surf and just wish to join rookies only please select payment option below.
