2025 CHARITY SURF COMP ENTRY FORM

EVENT VENUE:        

To be held at Kawana Beach, immediately in front of the Kawana Surf Club

EVENT DATE:           

Saturday, November 8th - from 6.00am

EVENT CALENDAR:   

Entries close: Thursday, 31st October  

Registration: Friday, 7th November in the surf club with competitors' presentation and drinks from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm 

Competition: Saturday, 8th November from 6.00 am until 1.00 pm

Prize ceremony: Saturday, 8th November from 1.00 pm until 2.00 pm

Auction: Saturday, 8th November from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm

ENTRY COST:

$500.00 for a team of 4

DONATIONS:

The organisers welcome donations from individuals and businesses

wishing to support our efforts without participating in the contest.

Items suitable for auction are always welcome.

Recognition and other exposure opportunities are available in return

for your generous support.

EVENT TEE SPONSORSHIPS:

Opportunities exist to have logos on the backs of our event t-shirts. This can be sponsored for just $500 and is separate from the entry fee. This can be invoiced directly to your business and is tax-deductible. If you would like to explore this offer, please contact Mark on 0411477390.

ALL PROCEEDS GO TO LOCAL FAMILIES WITH DISABLED CHILDREN

Note: Team member names need to be lodged by two days prior at the latest (so we can allocate the correct size t-shirts, etc), but are not a requirement of registering your team to secure a spot in the event.

Entry Conditions – Surfing Event Waiver

By entering the competition, each team member (through their authorised representative) agrees, jointly and severally, as a condition of entry:

Competition Rules
We will comply with all rules of the competition and follow the directions of officials at all times.

Acknowledgement of Risk
We understand that surfing carries inherent risks and accept full responsibility for our own actions and their consequences. This includes any loss or damage to ourselves, others, or equipment. We acknowledge the specific risk of Surfer’s Myelopathy (a back or spine injury caused by lying prone for extended periods), which can be reduced by regular movement.

Release and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we release and discharge the organisers, the nominated charities, their officers, employees, and volunteers, as well as all other persons involved in the event, from any liability arising from our participation. We further agree to indemnify them against any claim of any kind arising from our involvement.
 

Incident Reporting
We agree to follow the incident reporting process set out in the Incident Report Form provided in the competitor’s pack. At least one member of each team will also attend the pre-competition registration & briefing on the day before the event and follow all processes, advice, and directions given. We accept that the decisions of event officials are final and must be complied with.
 

Event Purpose
We understand this is a charity fundraising event and agree to participate in the spirit of fun, community, and fundraising.
