Inspired by the Tri-Star emblem at the center of Tennessee's state flag—a symbol representing the unity of our three Grand Divisions—this exhibition invites artists to reflect on the place they call home, the regional stories that shape Tennessee, and
1. STEAM Panel: Where Vision Ignites Innovation
A live panel discussion featuring artists, educators, scientists, and technologists.
2. MTSU Department of Art and Design Saturdays At Todd Workshop Series
Interactive, hands-on creative workshops will occur at the Hollingshead Aviation, Church Street Gallery, and Todd Art Gallery, MTSU Todd Hall.
Workshop Lineup:
1. Art-Official: Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and the Making of Art – MTSU Todd Hall – Is A.I. the end of art, or just the newest brush in the box? Step into the debate (and maybe reframe it) in this provocative, hands-on workshop.
2. Aviation & Angles: Let Your Lens Take Flight – Hollingshead Aviation – Where architecture meets atmosphere, let your lens take flight—a photography workshop on perspective and elevation.
3. Flight Paths: Drawing the Spirit of Tennessee in Motion – Hollingshead Aviation – Flight Paths turns line, gesture, and imagination into a visual journey across the skies and stories of the Volunteer State.
4. Make It Human: Collage, Commentary, and Creative Resistance – Church Street Gallery & Legacy Ink Design – Can scissors and glue become instruments of protest? Make It Human transforms collages into a bold act of commentary and creative resistance.
The public, art patrons, supporters, and everyone interested are invited to attend the STEAM Panel Discussion and Awards presentation during the Opening Artists' Reception.
