U.S. citizens do not need a passport to travel to the following destinations:

✅ U.S. Territories (Passport Not Required):
- Puerto Rico
- U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix)
- Guam
- American Samoa
- Northern Mariana Islands
*Note: A government-issued photo ID (such as a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license) is still required for air travel.

✅ Closed-Loop Cruises (No Passport Needed):
If your cruise starts and ends at the same U.S. port, you may visit certain destinations without a passport, including:
- The Bahamas
- Mexico (e.g., Cozumel, Cabo San Lucas)
- Bermuda
- Jamaica
- Saint Lucia
- Saint Kitts & Nevis
- Dominican Republic
- Some parts of Canada (via cruise only)
For these cruises, you must bring: A government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) and an original or state-certified copy of your U.S. birth certificate with an original seal (or raised seal) in order to board your closed-loop cruise. *Photocopies or hospital-issued birth certificates are not typically accepted*

Important:
If you plan to fly to international destinations (even nearby ones), a valid U.S. passport is required.
