  • Diane E. Crosby
    Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was initiated by the Crosby family in 2026 to honor the life and legacy of Diane, who faced the challenges of terminal pancreatic cancer with unwavering courage and positivity.  Diane was the proud mother of two Cumberland Valley High School graduates and also a former CV student herself, as well as a graduate of Penn State University.  In 2006, she obtained her substitute teaching certificate and worked in that role within the District until the time of her death in 2024.  In the last years of her life, she was a regular substitute teacher at the Cumberland-Perry Area Vocational Technical School.

Throughout her cancer battle, Diane displayed remarkable resilience even in the most difficult times.  Diane was not only a warrior in her own battle, but she was also a fierce advocate for women everywhere, believing in their potential to overcome any challenge. This scholarship is intended to support students who embody those same qualities of optimism and strength.
