  •  Apply now to perform in the Le Salon de Musique Recital Series & Competition!

    Applying to perform in the recital series automatically enters you into Le Salon de Musique Competition. We welcome chamber groups, vocalists, pianists, any classical instrumentalist, and ensembles of any size- duos, trios, quartets, etc.

    Le Salon de Musique Recital Series is a recital series held in intimate venues throughout Utah, including people's homes. Selected applicants will have the chance to curate their own 15-minute program, with staff approval. Each recital will be comprised of two 15-minute programs from two seperate applicants. Works longer than 15 minutes will be considered on a case-by-case basis; please contact us for more information. 

    Application Deadlines: 

    Currently, applications are excepted, reviewed and approved on a rolling basis. Apply whenever works best for you and, if approved, we will work together to schedule you in an appropriate slot in our season. 

    Competition:

    Your application into the recital series also doubles as an entry into the annual competition. The winner will be announced in Spring 2027.

    Prizes are as follows: 

    • First Place: $1000 + perform in the Winner's Recital, receive professional video recording 
    • Second Place: $500 + perform in the Winner's Recital, receive professional video recording
    • Third Place: $250+ perform in the Winner's Recital, receive professional video recording 

     

    Applicant Requirements:

    Applicants must be 30 years or younger within the calendar year. Applicants must be currently residing in the United States. 

    Selected applicants must arrange their own travel to and from Utah. 

    Required Audition Materials:

    All applicants, regardless of instrument or ensemble size, should submit 1 piece via youtube link. Musical theater pieces will not be considered. 

    What's next?

    Applicants will be notified with admission decision within 4 weeks of their application submission. If accepted, applicants and staff will work together to pick a performance date and curate a program.
