If selected, I understand I would be expected to participate in two AG Bell family leadership support 2.5 hour forums (Spring, Fall) each year. Dates and times for each forum will be determined by the Council. If for, any reason, I absolutely cannot attend, I would be willing to watch the video and participate in a separate session with one of the AG Bell lead facilitators.If selected, I understand I would be expected to participate as an AG Bell representative for my country and would be a member of the Global Family Council for a two-year term (which is renewable every two years). I understand that I am under no obligation to continue after my first two-year term. I also understand that I am a volunteer and that circumstances change in my life, I can for any reason, step down from this volunteer membership role.If selected, I understand I would be expected to lead a minimum of one family support activity annually (July through June is one annual year).
A committee will review all applicant information and will be in touch as we meet, select, and confirm new Global Family Council members. Related, the committee wants to know more about you. Please share with us about you, your family, and child. Specifically, please tell us about your family's journey and include how having a child who is deaf or hard of hearing has changed you. Your response can be short or long. You decide.
It would also be helpful to the committee to know about your experience with other families. Please share about any experience you may have related to supporting other families of children with hearing loss. Your response can be short or long. You decide.
