    TEENS should fill out this application. Once you fill out the application, you may attend our weekly Leaders Club meetings (Wednesdays 7-8:30pm beginning 9/3/25). Leaders who pass our Leader in Training (LIT) period will be inducted into the club on October 15th. Payment will be due prior to the October inductions date. High schoolers volunteer 10 hours per month and middle schoolers volunteer 7 hours per month. Leaders are expected to attend at least 75% of meetings (or go through excused absence process).

  • Leaders Club Club Contract

    To be read and signed by the applicant AND parent.
    • In serving as a Leaders Club Member, I agree to perform my responsibilities to the very best of my ability. I will do so with enthusiasm, positivity and respect under the direction and guidance of the Executive Board and Advisors.
    • I realize that safety is my first priority when serving as a YMCA volunteer. I will constantly strive to be aware of possible hazards and remain educated about safety procedures.
    • I understand that I am a vital member of this club and am expected to attend weekly club meetings (Wednesdays 7-8:30pm). I also understand that multiple unexcused absences may jeopardize my club membership.
    • I understand that volunteering monthly to earn a certain number of hours per year is the requirement. I also understand that I must log my service hours in the format chosen by the club for them to be counted. 
    • I realize that my personal appearance and behavior is important in setting a good example as a leader. Therefore, I will strive to keep my physical appearance clean and neat and my behavior toward my peers, advisors, and others will be a worthy example to follow.
    • I understand that I must wear my Leaders Club volunteer shirt while volunteering. Additionally, I will wear the appropriate attire for fitness meetings as determined by the Executive Board and Advisors.
    • If I have a problem with another person, I will confront them first in a mature manner. If the problem persists, I will inform a member of the Executive Board, the Club Advisor, or another Supervisor for further action.
    • I understand that I will refrain from any and all illegal activities, including the use of tobacco products, alcohol, and illegal drugs.
    • I will be respectful and responsible in my use of social media, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, texting, etc.
    • I will always treat other's bodies, intellect, and property with respect.
    • I understand that as a member of the YMCA Leaders Club, I am expected to represent the YMCA and the club well outside of volunteering. I understand that I am expected to be a leader in my community.

     

    By affixing my signature below, I give my word that I will put forth my best effort in adhering to the goals and mission of the YMCA and will abide by the terms outlined in this contract. If I or another member of the club is in violation of this contract, I am responsible for reporting the violation to an Executive Board member or Advisor for the club. Violation to the Code of Conduct may result in dismissal of the leader from Leaders Club. All violations will be brought before the Executive Board and/or Advisors to determine consequences for the actions.
