RENTAL BOATS

OPERATING GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

 

1. DANGER: Do not sit on the front of the boat at any time. Falling off the boat could result in death from the propeller. Stay clear from the rear of the boat and propeller.
2. FOR EMERGENCY: Radio is channel 16, the Marina Office number is (732) 264-2940 and for SeaTow boat towing call 800-4-seatow.
3. FIRE EXTINGUISHER: There is a fire extinguisher on the boat by the driver seat.
4. WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: Spread the passengers around the boat evenly so the weight distributiuon is even. If you notice the bow, stern, port or starboard side of the boat starting to list or take on water, move passengers to the center, rear or appropriate side of the boat so the weight is distributed evenly. Be concious of the stability of the boat.
5. ALCOHOL: The Driver / Operator of the boat may not be above the legal blood alcohol limit while operating the boat.
6. COAST GUARD REQUIREMENTS: Anchor, Life vests, Throwable Floatation Deveices and Flares are located under the seats of the boat.
7. LIGHTS: If on the boat after dark (return time is 3PM), make sure to have the navigation lightsd on.
