  • James Smith Cree Nation has begun the process of capacity building to assert our jurisdiction over child and family services under Bill C-92: An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families.We are building new child and family laws rooted in our values, traditions and community priorities.

    We want to hear from adult members (ages 18+) about what matters most when it comes to caring for our children and supporting families.

    Your answers are anonymous and confidential.

    Youth and Elders will be engaged separately through other methods. Elders are welcome to complete this survey if they wish, but will also be engaged in more personal and respectful ways throughout this process. Community engagement with James Smith Cree Nation will also take place.
