Spirit Team Request Form

Houston Christian University is blessed to have a wonderful spirit program comprised of an incredibly crowd-effective cheerleading team, a costumed Mascot (Mingo), and also our a live Siberian Husky, Wakiza IV!

Our Spirit Teams make appearances on campus and around the city! If you are interested in an appearance by one of our HCU Spirit Teams, please fill out the request form and we will be sure to connect!

Disclaimer:

Mascot appearances are subject to availability and approval. Submitting this form does not guarantee the appearance. You will be contacted to confirm your event appearance. The Response Section is only checked on Fridays. All forms must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the event to be considered. All appearance requests for more than 4 cheerleaders or a performance is requested will require a 4 week minimum for preparation and a program donation.

Disclaimer #2: All appearances (whether Kiza or Mingo) will be accompanied by a member of the Sled/Mingo Team. If, for any reason, that member feels the need to remove the mascot from the event, they will do so. Please adhere to the directions given by the Sled/Mingo Team member while interacting with the mascot. The Sled/Mingo Team members are trained to care for the well-being of our mascots.*

Disclaimer #3: If the event is outside, the costumed mascot, Mingo, has a limited amount of time they can be in the costume. The time is lessened when the temperature is higher. Mingo and their team will make the final decision to ensure Mingo's safety. Additionally, Kiza has a limited amount of time being in loud environments. The Sled Team will make the final decision to ensure Kiza's Safety.*
