Qualifying Swim Meet Travel Reimbursement Program - 2021

To support and recognize our athletes' achievements at high-level competitions, Region VIII offers travel stipends based on performance and participation in national-level meets. The following outlines the reimbursement structure and associated eligibility requirements: 1. Open Water, Winter Junior Nationals & U.S. Open participants will be eligible to receive a $100 travel stipend. Eligibility Requirement: To receive the stipend, athletes must also participate in the subsequent Sectional Meet. 2. U.S. Olympic Trials participants share 25% of the meet entry fees collected from all Spring and Summer Sectional Meets held during the Olympic quad leading up to Trials. The total amount allocated will be evenly divided among eligible Olympic Trials participants. Eligibility Requirement: Athletes must compete in the following Summer Sectional Meet to receive their portion of the stipend. 3. Summer Junior Nationals & U.S. Nationals participants will receive an equal share of the remaining travel fund, after yearly administrative costs have been deducted. Eligibility Requirement: Athletes must compete in the Summer Sectional Meet to qualify for this reimbursement.
