  • Thank you for your interest in enrolling in our free ECMR program, offered by CUNY Building Performance Lab and hosted by New Women New Yorkers.

    Participants can earn industry-recognized credentials, gain hands-on lab experience, and have the opportunity to complete a traineeship, all designed to prepare them for careers in the energy building sector.

    Course Schedule (90 hours of instruction plus homework)
    Dates: March 2 to July 1
    Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
    Location: NWNY Community Hub near Washington Square Park
    (The exact address will be shared via email prior to the first session.)

    Who Should Apply?
    The curriculum is designed to support immigrant women interested in working in the green building sector, whether they are beginners or have prior experience. No previous clean energy experience or bachelor’s degree is required.

    What You Will Gain

    • Stipends at the completion of each course
    • Energy Technician Certificate from CUNY BPL (6-credit equivalent)
    • Voucher to take the BPI Building Science Principles (BSP) certification exam
    • Opportunity to be placed in a traineeship in building performance
    • Preparation for career roles such as supporting income eligibility verification for energy programs, energy auditing positions, and building data collection and analytics roles.
