Community Parade: Guidelines & Information
We’re excited to invite everyone to participate in this year’s Community Parade, a highlight of the 2nd Annual Falling for the Wallace Festival and Mainstreet Levelland Cork & Keg! This joyful procession is a chance for individuals, businesses, schools, and nonprofits to showcase their creativity, celebrate community spirit, and support local causes.
Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025
Time: 2:00 PM
Entry Details:
Each parade entry is $10, with all entry fees going directly back to a nonprofit organization in Hockley County.
When registering, participants must select a category for their entry:
Individuals
Businesses
Schools/Nonprofits
Entrants must provide a brief description of what their parade entry will include (e.g., decorated float, walking group, dance troupe, vehicle convoy).
At registration, participants must designate a Hockley County nonprofit they wish to support. The first-place winner of the parade will present their chosen nonprofit with a check for the total parade entry fees, making this not only a celebration but a meaningful way to give back to our community.
Parade Route:
The parade route spans approximately 1 mile through beautiful downtown Levelland. Specific line-up locations and instructions will be shared with registered participants as the event date approaches.
Rules & Safety Guidelines:
Candy may be thrown to spectators along the parade route; however, for children’s safety, candy should not be thrown into the middle of the street. Instead, please toss it toward the curb or directly to children with adult supervision nearby.
Water guns and other water-spraying devices are strictly prohibited during the parade.
No one under the age of 16 may operate a motorized vehicle in the parade. Motorized vehicles include but are not limited to: cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, golf carts, scooters, tractors, and riding lawnmowers.
Each parade entry must have at least one supervising adult (18 years or older) on or near the float or vehicle at all times to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators.
No campaigning, positive or negative, is allowed by parade participants.
No demonstrating, protesting, positive or negative is allowed by parade participants. No individual or group of individuals may use the Community Parade as a forum to: display or distribute any materials or voice transmit audio materials for or against theirs or another's situation, policy, political, or social position.
No refunds will be issued for parade entries. The parade will take place rain or shine, so please plan and dress accordingly.
Important Reminders:
Line-up instructions, including arrival times and staging details, will be emailed to participants closer to the event date.
Entries that do not comply with safety rules may be asked to leave the parade lineup without refund.
We can’t wait to see your creativity and community pride on display in this year’s parade. Thank you for joining us in celebrating what makes our community so special—and for helping support nonprofits making a difference in Hockley County!
