ASI Arnulfo Lara Memorial Scholarship Fall 2025

Scholarship Criteria
- Must be a full time student enrolled and in good academic standing with the University at time of application.
- Current and past ASI Board members within one year are not eligible.
- Members of the ASI Memorial Scholarship Committee are not eligible.
- Student must have already completed one semester at Sacramento State at the time of application.
- No student should receive more than one ASI Memorial Scholarship per academic year.
- No student should receive more than $1,000 per semester in ASI Funded Scholarships and no more than (1) one ASI scholarship per semester.
- Arnulfo Lara Scholarship Only: Must have an unmet need from financial aid, for the academic year of the scholarship, as described by the university and verified by the financial aid office in the amount of the scholarship.
Application Materials

Essays must not exceed 600 words. Submissions over this limit will be disqualified. Names or identifying information must not be included; if present, they will be redacted. All essays must be submitted in PDF format.

The criteria for the recipient of an ASI Arnulfo Lara Memorial Scholarship shall answer the following:
- Arnulfo Lara, a former ASI Board member, had the desire to serve both his campus community and the extended community. We are looking for those students who, like Arnulfo Lara, have demonstrated a sincere commitment and action to community service—both on campus and in the greater Sacramento area.
