Mecca MMA, LLC
Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement

This agreement is entered into by the undersigned, on behalf of themselves and/or their child(ren), and Mecca MMA, LLC (“Mecca MMA”), including its owners, directors, officers, instructors, volunteers, employees, affiliated members, special programs, and independent contractors. In consideration of enrollment and participation in Mecca MMA programs and activities, I agree to the following:

Purpose of Training
I understand that Mecca MMA programs are designed for self-defense, personal development, and physical fitness. Techniques taught are not to be used aggressively or irresponsibly. Misuse of these techniques may result in immediate dismissal from the program.

Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in martial arts and self-defense training includes inherent risks of physical and emotional injury, illness, or even death. These risks include, but are not limited to, contact with other students, instructors, or training equipment, and participation in high-intensity drills, sparring, or simulations.

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks and hazards, and I understand it is my duty to train safely and within my limitations.

Medical Clearance and Health Responsibility
I certify that I (or my child) am physically fit to participate and have consulted a physician if necessary. I agree to disclose any medical conditions, disabilities, injuries, or pregnancy to a Mecca MMA instructor and obtain written clearance when appropriate. If I experience any pain or health concerns during training, I will stop immediately and seek medical care.

Hygiene, Skin Conditions, and Safety Expectations
Students must maintain good personal hygiene. While Mecca MMA maintains cleanliness standards, skin-to-skin contact may lead to conditions such as ringworm, staph, or impetigo. Any suspected skin issue must be reported immediately. Certain conditions may require medical clearance to resume training.

Protective Gear and Supervised Contact
I understand that sparring and certain self-defense drills require approved protective gear, including but not limited to: gloves, mouth guards, shin guards, headgear, and groin protection. All contact-based training is conducted under instructor supervision.

Use of Image (Photo/Video Release)
Mecca MMA and its designers may photograph or film me while on the premises and use such images or footage for promotional purposes across all media platforms, including social media and websites.

Waiver and Release of Liability
I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns, agree not to hold Mecca MMA liable for any injury, death, or property damage arising from my participation in any program or event. I release and forever discharge Mecca MMA from all claims, actions, demands, or liabilities resulting from such participation.

Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mecca MMA from any third-party claims resulting from my conduct, use of techniques, or actions as a student, whether on or off Mecca MMA premises or during events.

No Warranties or Guarantees
I understand that Mecca MMA makes no guarantees as to the effectiveness of its programs or techniques. Results vary by individual and situation.

Program Conduct and Use of Force
All techniques taught are for legitimate self-defense. They are to be used only when legally justified and never to escalate conflict. Students are expected to use judgment and avoid confrontation whenever possible. Excessive force is never permitted.

Clarification of Legal Use
I understand that laws regarding use of force vary by jurisdiction. It is my responsibility to contact local law enforcement for guidance on what constitutes “reasonable force” in my area.

Emergency Medical Consent
In the event of a medical emergency during class or a Mecca MMA event, I authorize trained staff to seek appropriate medical care for me or my child(ren). I understand that Mecca MMA and its contractors are not liable for the outcome of such care.

Independent Nature of Training
I acknowledge that martial arts and self-defense training carry inherent risk and must be practiced under controlled conditions. I am responsible for asking questions and seeking clarification when techniques or concepts are unclear. Misinterpretation of techniques can result in serious injury or death.

Entire Agreement and Binding Effect
This agreement supersedes any prior oral representations or agreements. It is binding on me, my heirs, representatives, and assigns. If any portion of this agreement is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
