2026 Yvonne Curtis Community Service Scholarship Application
Yvonne Curtis served as Michigan Youth Soccer League Vice President for over 15 years and served as MSYSA District Commissioner for over 10 years. She was a lifelong advocate of the game of soccer and those who participated in it. From spectator, soccer parent, and coach to volunteer Board Member and soccer grandparent, Yvonne did it all. Although gone, she is very much not forgotten. In honor of Yvonne Curtis, this community service scholarship was created to reward one graduating senior whose character, enthusiasm, kindness, and altruism best represents Yvonee's spirit.
Application Requirements:

The MSYSA Yvonne Curtis Community Service Scholarship is due into the MSYSA State Office in its entirety no later than November 1, 2025. If you have any questions, please email stateoffice@michiganyouthsoccer.org
General Information to Applicants:
1. This program of college tuition awards is administered by the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association.
2. Scholarships are in the form of tuition awards of $1,000 and are to be used toward expenses in an accredited college, university, or community college beginning with the Fall of 2026.
3. This program is open to Michigan residents who are participating in bona fide soccer programs and are graduating high school seniors.
4. Applicants must have played on a MSYSA affiliated team for at least 6 seasons (3 years).
5. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
6. Applicants do not need to play college soccer to apply.
7. Awards are contingent upon proof of acceptance and enrollment in a full-time academic program at an accredited college, university, or community college in the Fall of 2026.
