About the MSC UK Foodservice Champion of the Year Award
The Award for MSC UK Foodservice Champion is aimed at recognising an individual or foodservice business that has gone and beyond to bring MSC labelled fish and seafood on to their menu and demonstrated exceptional leadership in championing seafood sustainability. Both independent establishments, including fish and chip shops, and chain restaurants are eligible for this category.
Entries open: 9am on Monday, 14th July 2025.
Entries close: 5pm on Friday, 29th August 2025.
There is no cost of entry.

Who will be judging this award?
Nominations will be shared with an independent external panel of expert judges from across the seafood sector.
Judging Criteria:
Each entry into this category will be assessed against the following three criteria outlined below. All aspects of the criteria are weighted equally with a rating scorecard of 1 to 5.
- Leadership
Has demonstrated leadership in the field of seafood sustainability.
- Recognition
Has advanced consumer awareness about seafood sustainability through use of the MSC ecolabel.
- Outcomes
Has achieved meaningful and measurable outcomes through use of the MSC ecolabel.
