Scholarship Criteria
- Applicants must be registered students (minimum undergraduate 6 units; graduate units) and in good academic standing with the university at the time of application.
- Current and past board Members within one year of the ASI Board of Directors are not eligible.
- Members of the ASI Scholarship Committee are not eligible.
- Applicants must have already completed at least one semester at Sacramento State at time of application.
- No student may receive more than one ASI Student Involvement Scholarship per academic year.
- No student should receive more than $1,000 per semester in ASI Funded Scholarships and no more than (1) one ASI scholarship per semester.
Application Materials
Essays must not exceed 600 words. Submissions over this limit will be disqualified. Names or identifying information must not be included; if present, they will be redacted. All essays must be submitted in PDF format.
The criteria for the recipient of an ASI Student Belonging Scholarship shall answer the following:
- Discuss your cultural, social, or economic background, especially any aspects related to diverse or marginalized communities. How have your unique experiences shaped your educational journey, and in what specific ways do you plan to use what you’ve learned to foster positive change in your community or at Sacramento State?
