Scholarship Criteria
- Applicants must be registered students (minimum undergraduate 6 units; graduate units) and in good academic standing with the university at the time of application.
- Current and past board Members within one year of the ASI Board of Directors are not eligible.
- Members of the ASI Scholarship Committee are not eligible.
- Applicants must have already completed at least one semester at Sacramento State at time of application.
- No student may receive more than one ASI Student Involvement Scholarship per academic year.
- No student should receive more than $1,000 per semester in ASI Funded Scholarships and no more than (1) one ASI scholarship per semester.
Application Materials
Essays must not exceed 600 words. Submissions over this limit will be disqualified. Names or identifying information must not be included; if present, they will be redacted. All essays must be submitted in PDF format.
The criteria for the recipient of an ASI Student Involvement Scholarship shall answer all of the following:
- What community-oriented and extracurricular activities have you been involved in as a Sacramento State Student?
- What are your career goals and how do you hope to give back to the community in your future? The recipient must also be an active contributor/participant in the Sacramento State campus community.
- Please identify the ASI Department you have utilized the most and explain how it has impacted your experience at Sacramento State (ASI Departments: Aquatic Center, Accounting Services Office, Children’s Center, Government Office, Peak Adventures, Student Engagement & Outreach).
