  • 2025-2026 DRUG POLICY CONSENT FORM

I understand that Houma Christian School has a policy against the possession, use, sale or transfer of illegal drugs. I further understand that Houma Christian School has adopted a random drug testing program as one method of implementing that policy. Students may also be tested based on tips or drug associated behavior. As a parent or guardian, I consent to my child’s participation in the drug testing program, to the testing of my child, and release of the results by the drug testing laboratory to a school administrator.

I indemnify and hold harmless Houma Christian School, the laboratory, their employees, agents and representatives from any and all liabilities arising from the authorized release or use of the information derived from or contained in
    the child’s test result.

Should my child test positive and such results are validated as positive by a confirmation test, I acknowledge that my child will be dismissed from Houma Christian School.

I understand that failing to sign this document will deny admission, re-admission, or result in the dismissal of my child from Houma Christian School.

  • 2025-2026 SMART DEVICE POLICY

The definition of a smart device is any device that has the ability to access data and actively communicate information such as but not limited to texts, messages, calls, or pictures. Once students arrive on campus, all smart devices MUST be kept in lockers and/or vehicles and turned off. Smart watches cannot be worn during
instructional time for any reason and are encouraged to be left at home. If a device goes off during school hours by ringing, vibrating, or is visible in any manner, the device will be confiscated and will be returned to the parent/guardian and the student will receive an administrative disciplinary consequence such as but not
limited to out of school suspension, Saturday school, or detention. Phones, smart watches, or any other device may be confiscated up to five days. All confiscated devices can and will be reviewed by administration. If confiscated devices show another student using a device during school hours, they will also be subjected to the same disciplinary action. Repeat violators of this policy may be recommended for expulsion from Houma Christian School.
