Certificate of Election
To determine the number of delegates you are to elect, see the "Certificate of Election explanation" or the 2023-2027 Manual pp. 201.2. The Certificate of Election will need both the church board secretary and the pastor's signatures. Membership of the Assembly (per 2023-2027 Manual pp. 201, 201.2) includes all of the following: assigned elders, deacons, licensed ministers; all retired assigned ministers and elected lay delegates. Please note: District licensed ministers are not lay.
NOTE: There is a section for you to list ministerial associates and assigned retired elders that are planning to attend. An Ex Officio Fee is applicable for each Sr. Pastor, NMI President, NYI President and SDMI Chairperson even if they do not attend.
0-75 Members = 1 Delegate
76-125 Members = 2 Delegates
126-175 Members = 3 Delegates
176-225 Members = 4 Delegates
226-275 Members = 5 Delegates
276- 325 Members = 6 Delegates
326 -375 Members = 7 Delegates
376-425 Members = 8 Delegates
426-475 Members = 9 Delegates
476-525 Members = 10 Delegates
526-575 Members = 11 Delegates
576-625 Members = 12 Delegates
*If your church is eligible for more than 12 delegates, continue the appropriate chart to reach the total number of delegates
*If the church is a NewStart which has members, the Board of General Superintendents issued a ruling in 1998 that the pastor may name the eligible delegates based on the appropriate chart above.
*Every delegate needs an email address for registration purposes. If the delegate does not have an email address, please input a church email that will receive updates on their behalf.
The following lay delegates have been duly elected to represent our church at the District Assembly according to Manual 201.1 or 201.2.
