    Confidential Application for Tuition Support

  • Hope Floats Scholarships are available for:

    • Learn-to-swim lessons (not swim team)
    • 1 lesson per week for 12 weeks/3 months; frequency of lessons may vary by provider (you may reapply for continued support)
    • The scholarship covers lessons cost only and not any additional fees that may be imposed by your swim provider, like registration fees
    • Families are required to contribute financially toward lessons
    • Any unused scholarship money will be returned to Hope Floats Foundation
    • A completed survey is required prior to scholarship renewal.  

    *Please note that it can take at least 30 days for your application to be reviewed and processed, especially during our high volume months of June and July.  We process applications in the order that they are received, and we will contact you as soon as yours has been reviewed.  We appreciate your patience!*

  • Determining Financial Eligibility:

    Scholarships are awarded based on financial need (in addition to funding availability at your swim school).  We will need ONE of the following documents.  If we do not receive the required documentation, we will not be able to review your application. 

    - Your Tax Return (1040) Page One showing your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for the most recent year AND names all of the children who need swim lessons listed as your dependents

    - If you do not file taxes, or qualify for SNAP benefits in your state, you can upload documentation of this that shows your approval AND children's names.

    - For children in Foster Care, provide foster care placement documentation for the child, and financial documents are not required.
