• 2025 EMGS Quest

    A Networking and Social Media Engagement Challenge

  • Quest Directions and Rules:

    1. To participate, you must be a student, early career investigator, or first time EMGS Annual Meeting registered attendee.
    2. Don’t be shy, the challenge is meant to provide the perfect excuse to do some networking.
    3. You must complete the quest alone (except for the final question!)
    4. Don’t Cheat! Cheaters never win.😊
    5. Submit your completed quest by midnight on September 12th, 2025.
       

    Competitive Awards:

    1. The winner with the most points will receive an Amazon gift card worth $150.
    2. Second place will receive a $100 gift card.
    3. Third place will receive a $50 gift card.
       

    Participation Raffle:

    Five Amazon gift cards worth $25 will be raffled off to Quest participants.

    1. Participants who obtain 25% of the total possible Quest points will receive one ticket into the raffle.
    2. Participants who obtain 50% of the total possible Quest points will receive two tickets into the raffle.
    3. Participants who obtain 75% of the total possible Quest points will receive three tickets into the raffle.
    4. Winners of the competitive awards will not be included in the Participation Raffle.

  • Section 1: Follow EMGS on Social Media! (5 Points)

  • Earn 1 point for each EMGS social media account you currently follow/like/subscribe.

  • Section 2: EMGS Meet & Greet and Welcome Reception (8 Points)

  • Section 3: Keynote Speakers (9 Points)

  • Earn 2 points for each keynote session you attend.

  • Section 4: EMGS Special Sessions (4 Points)

  • Earn 2 points for each award lecture you attend.

  • Section 5: EMGS Poster Session Q&A (6 Points)
    Earn up to 3 points for each poster session you attend by interacting with poster presenters. List the names of up to three presenters per session you interacted with below (1 point each).

  • Section 6: EMGS SIG Meetings (21 Points)

  • Earn 5 points for each SIG meeting you attend (up to four). Indicate which SIG meeting(s) you attended below:

  • Section 7: The Student and Early Career Investigator Luncheon (3 Points)

  • Section 8: Expand Your Network (16 Points)

  • Earn 2 points for each night you visit the EMGS Networking Lounge, open Sunday, Sept. 7th and Monday Sept. 8th, 7:30 - 9:00 PM. To earn these points, please post on social media from the event and link your post(s) below.

  • Section 9: Check Out Our Exhibitors (6 Points)

  • Earn 3 points for each exhibitor booth you visit. To earn these points, please post on social media from the booth and link your post below.

  • Section 10: Exploring Rochester (20 Points)

  • Earn 2 points each by visiting the landmarks, restaurants, and parks listed below with your new EMGS connections! To earn these points, please post on social media from the event and link your post below.

  • Section 11: Say Hi To Us (2 Points)

  • Earn 1 point each if you drop by the registration desk to meet our EMGS Staff members: Channah Tabor and Willow Frasier. They're nice, we promise!
