Naloxone and substance awareness presentations from the Sacramento County Opioid Coalition can range from 5 minutes to 1 hour, and include any of the following content:
- Basics of opioids
- Fentanyl awareness
- Understanding the impact of opioids and fentanyl
- Basics about emerging substances of concern and methamphetamine
- Information about naloxone (Narcan)
- Recognizing signs of opioid overdose
- How to use naloxone to reverse opioid overdose
- Introduction to fentanyl test strips
- Local and national resources for overdose prevention, infectious disease prevention, and substance use disorder treatment
