Retail Manager | Olive Yu, Ahangama

We’re looking for a proactive, sales-focused Retail Manager to run our Ahangama store, lead the team and keep things moving.
You’ll be someone who spots a problem and takes action, keeps people on track and follows through without constant reminders. Organised, reliable and punctual, you’ll lead by example and take ownership of the shop’s performance.
The role
- Run daily shop operations, maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service.
- Lead the sales team, manage rosters and ensure staff arrive on time and stay on task.
- Drive sales targets, keep reports up to date and analyse performance to identify improvements.
- Act as the liaison between production and retail, communicating stock needs and following up on orders, repairs and deadlines.
- Manage stock levels, reorders, transfers and stocktakes.
- Coordinate jewellery workshop bookings and ensure sessions run smoothly and start on time.
- Manage relationships with consignment brands and stockists.
- Resolve day-to-day issues, support customers and keep management informed.
About you
- At least two years of retail experience, including management or supervisory experience.
- A go-getter attitude, with initiative, practical problem-solving skills and strong follow-through.
- Confident leading people, setting expectations and holding the team accountable.
- Comfortable with sales reports, targets, spreadsheets and retail systems.
- Confident communicating in English and Sinhala.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- A Sri Lankan national living on the south coast or willing to relocate.
