OMK Grant Information

Our Military Kids offers grants up to $300 per eligible child, per grant to pay for extracurricular activities for children ages 1-18. Eligible families should absolutely apply because it's good for 2 activities per year for 2 years—that's a total of $1200 per eligible child!
- OMK's Deployed Program is for children of deployed and stateside activated National Guard and Reserve service members, and
- OMK's Combat Injured Program is for children of service members and Veterans from any service branch who is receiving treatment for post-9/11, combat-related wounds or illnesses.
A separate application must be submitted for each eligible child for each activity (to be paid to one activity provider/organization). Your child's grant check, made payable to the activity provider, will also be inside the award packet so that you may hand-deliver it to the activity provider / organization. (OSS does accept OMK Grant checks by mail, but we have no way to recover or replace lost checks.)

OSS Scholarship Information

All families, regardless of deployment status, are eligible to apply for an Oregon Summer Star need-based scholarship. Our scholarship fund varies year-to-year depending on funds we are able to raise and grants we receive. You may not receive a decision until early spring. While we try to meet as much scholarship need as we possibly can, funds are limited, and we may not be able to grant your full request. To apply for an OSS scholarship for your family, click here. We cannot consider scholarship applications for unregistered campers. You will still need to pay the $25.00 deposit to register.

Payment Plan (for registrations before February 10, 2026)Seven equal payments of $74.06 ($71.43 + Square fees of 3.3% and 30¢ per transaction). Your first payment is taken when you register prior to February 10, 2025, and the next 6 will be automatically invoiced on the 10th of every month, with the last payment on July 10th, 2025. After Feb 10 the monthly payment plan invoice will go up to $86.38, so registering before Feb 10 saves you $12.32 per month!

Please note that this is NOT a guarantee that we can provide enough scholarship to cover the entire cost of registration, and payment may still be required. We have very limited scholarships available and will prioritize families who have never attended. We typically know which requests we can meet in Spring.
