The purpose of this prayer ministry is for spiritual growth and sanctification. It is not a psychological counseling service, nor is it intended to be. We are not licensed psychologists or psychiatrists, nor are we certified marriage or substance and alcohol abuse counselors. However, we are trained in using the Word of God and prayer through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The results of this approach depend on the readiness of the individual for prayer ministry, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and willingness to make wise choices consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Discipleship, the commitment to train others in prayer ministry skills, is an ongoing aspect of our ministry. Qualified trainees (and/or interns) may be a part of the ministry sessions. The adherence to a strict policy of confidentiality includes interns working with prayer ministers, and your permission will always be asked in advance.
To comply with legal regulations, any planned or recently attempted suicide, threats to harm self or others, or child abuse will be reported to the proper authorities.

- I release my prayer ministers from any liabilities and retributions.
- I further understand that, if at any time the Prayer Minister determines that I require services beyond his or her scope of training they will decline to provide this prayer ministry. If this occurs, the Prayer Minister may be able to provide a reference to other professionals or agencies. However, I acknowledge that a referral represents only a suggestion as to where I might obtain assistance, and in no way obligates the Prayer Minister or the referred professional or agency.
