Adoption, Reservation & Pickup
I utilize a hybrid waitlist & first-come first-serve system. Applications are accepted for approval at any time. When babies are posted, selection of specific rats are first-come first-serve.
Public reservations open at 6 weeks of age at the earliest. Pups are ready to go home no earlier than 8 weeks of age.
Reservations are finalized only after the 50% non-refundable deposit is paid.
Payment is due in full at the time of pickup. I accept payment through cash, Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal Friends & Family.
All rats are sold strictly on a pet-only/no breeding basis. At this time, I do not make any of my lines available for breeding.
Updated 2026 pricing scale is as follows:
Dwarf: $40 each / $80 per pair / $100 for trio
Marten, Silvermane: +$10 each
Health Garauntee
Coiled Whisker Crittery undergoes annual zoonotic pathogen health testing to ensure our breeding stock and population is free of Rat Bite Fever and other common rodent-related pathogens.
I garauntee that rats leaving my care are in good health at the time of adoption and the following 7 days. However, rats are naturally sensitive animals, and I cannot garauntee their health after that time period due to pathogens outside of my home.
CWC operates as a closed rattery. For the health and safety of my animals, I do not accommodate visitors inside of my home. Thank you for your understanding.
Returns, Refunds & Rehoming
If you need to return your babies/rats within 7 days of adoption, you may return them and I will provide a partial refund.
If at any time you are no longer able to care for, or wish to return, your rats, the adopter agrees to contact me and I will always be happy to take them back. Or, if there is a trusted person(s) you would like to rehome them to, place them in contact with me as they will need to be approved. Please note no refund is provided.
At the end of the day, I just ask that my adopters provide the best possible care for their rats! I'm always happy to assist, answer any questions, and if there's anything I don't know, I'll always work to help point you in the right direction!
