• Community Holiday Light Show 2025 - Builder Application

    If you would like to build a display in the 2025 Community Holiday Light Show, please fill out this form below. Staff will notify you if your application has been accepted. There is no cost to enter a display. Builders provide their own materials. Power is supplied. Staff from Parks and Recreation will turn the lights on and off each night.
  • Display Rules: 

    • This is an application for a display. Applications are required to have a detailed and accurate description of their display including materials used and set up plans prior to being reviewed. You will be notified by staff of your application's status.
    • Entering a display is free
    • Displays can be set up between November 29 – December 9
    • Staff will test the lights on December 10, 5-7 PM
    • Builders must use outdoor LED lights and heavy-duty outdoor extension cords
      • Maintenance will be inspecting the displays, if any indoor cords are used, staff will notify you to switch out cords before the start of the show
    • Displays can be homemade, or store bought
    • Displays are required to have more than a banner with lights
    • Make sure your display is anchored well in the case of wind
    • Displays are prohibited from:
      • Simulating the drinking of alcohol or use of drugs
      • Having profanity on any part of the display
      • Having live animals
      • Having inflatables
      • Having people at your display during show hours
      • Promoting or opposing a candidate for elected office, a governmental officer or employee, a political party, an issue to be voted on by referendum, or the adoption, amendment, or repeal of a law or policy
    • The Community Holiday Light Show is a family-oriented event. All displays must be of a tasteful manner, winter or holiday themed, family friendly décor
    • Someone from your organization does not have to be there each night. Parks and Recreation staff will turn on and off the lights daily and will call if there is a problem with your display
    • Parks and Recreation will provide an extension cord from the power box towards your display if your display is more than 100 ft from the power box
    • If your display is closer than 100 ft from the power box, you should provide a cord to be plugged into the power box
    • Power can be turned on during set up of displays between the hours of 8:30AM – 3PM Monday through Friday
    • Please request the power to be on the day before you plan to set up by emailing or calling Taylor
    • All boxes will be turned off and locked at 3PM daily prior to the start of the show
    • Displays can be taken down starting December 24 and must be down by December 31
