Project Description:

The Ovens Chiller Replacement portion of the overall "BoPlex Renovations" project includes a complete interior abatement and demolition scope of the existing chiller room in Ovens Auditorium and existing cooling tower on the roof of the adjacent loading dock. Demolition will be followed by installation of two (2) new rooftop air-cooled chillers with associated power, piping, and controls to service Ovens Auditorium.

To support the install of these new rooptop units, a new steel substructure will be constructed on the roof of Ovens Auditorium's loading dock. The existing roofing will be patched and replaced beneath the new chillers and at the previous site of the existing cooling tower. A corrugated metal panel screenwall will be installed surrounding the roof to conceal the new rooftop chiller units.

The Ovens Chiller Replacement will be the first of several "Task Orders" located throughout the Bojangles Coliseum / Ovens Auditorium complex. These Task Orders will be bid and contracted separately. An additional "Part B" prequalification (see below) will be required for each Task Order. Only one "Part A" prequalification is required annually.

NOTICE TO ALL SUBCONTRACTORS: All sections of this Part A: Master Prequalification Form (Annual Submittal) must be provided ONCE A YEAR and filled out in its entirety. This form will expire on June 30th of each year and requires an update after July 1st. If any sections are not complete, then the prequal may be rejected. A separate Part B: Project Specific Supplement is required for each specific project. Part A and Part B will be evaluated together for the specific project.
