The city takes great pride in our public facilities, including our gym that opened in January 2018. It was a carefully crafted joint venture between the City of Fort Oglethorpe and Catoosa County.
Please help us maintain a pristine public facility by following the rules:
- The gymnasium rental fee is $50.00 per hour, with a two-hour minimum rental.
- A deposit is required to rent the facility; the deposit fee is $50.00 and must be paid within 48 hours of rental. The deposit amount will be included in the total rental fee.
- The balance owed for rental must be paid before use of the facility.
- The renter can pay both the deposit and the balance of the rental in person at City Hall by check or cash. (Bring a copy of your rental agreement.).
- No one is allowed to decorate the day before their event unless they have reserved the building in advance.
- No money–making sales events are allowed on the premises.
- All decorations, both internal and external, must be removed and disposed of before leaving the property.
- No cleats, high heels, or other potentially damaging shoes are permitted inside the gym.
- No live bands or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the facility.
- Maximum occupancy is 360 people.
- Before leaving the facility, please ensure that:
- All tables and chairs are clean and returned to the area they were in before the event.
- All trash is collected and disposed of in the provided trash cans, including any food that has been dropped on the floor.
- All decorations are collected and disposed of.
- All faucets in the restrooms are off.
- All toilets are flushed.
- All lights are turned off.
- All personal belongings are collected and removed.
The rental includes:
- A City Staff person who will open and close the facility, assist with set up, and remain present during the event if needed.
- 10 folding tables and 30 chairs
- 6 sets of bleachers
- Restrooms and utilities
Waiver Acknowledgement
It is distinctly understood and agreed that the undersigned renter assumes all risks for loss, damage, liability, injury, cost, and expense that may arise during or be caused in any way by such use or occupancy of the gymnasium facilities. It is also understood that the undersigned renter is aware of the potential for injury while at said facility and the potential for injury while participating in contact and non-contact sports and assumes all risk of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, broken bones, and the potential for serious injury, including paraplegia, quadriplegia, and death. The undersigned renter further agrees that in consideration of being permitted to use said facilities, the applicant will save and hold the City of Fort Oglethorpe and Catoosa County, and/or their employees, officers and agents free and harmless from any loss, claims, liability or damages for personal injuries or other damages to any person, including but not limited to injuries resulting in the death of any person which injury or death is occasioned by or in connection with the use of the gymnasium facilities.
