TIER TWO: SPOTLIGHT COMPANY

For Grades 3-12 | Tuesdays 5:30 – 7:30pm

Shrek the Musical

Program Runs:
October – April

SPOTLIGHT is our more competitive, acceptance-based program. This elite company is designed for students who are ready to push themselves artistically and commit to a more advanced level of musical theatre training. Admission is selective and based on audition performance.

What to Expect:
✨Advanced vocal technique including harmonies & sight reading
✨Musical theatre choreography rooted in jazz, lyrical & contemporary styles
✨Deep dive into character creation, acting technique & emotional connection
✨ Performance coaching with professional choreographers, vocalists & actors
✨ Scene study, actions and beats, and preparation for high-caliber productions

SPOTLIGHT students will work alongside like-minded peers who share a passion for excellence in theatre. This is a place to refine your craft, take risks, and grow as both an artist and a performer.

VIDEO AUDTIONS

Auditions will happen via video this year! Once your application is aubmitted you will recieve audition information in your welcome package as well as a link to upload your video. We ask that all auditions be submitted beofre August 25th if possible.

In your auditon video please tell us your name, age and the three characters you're most interested in audition for as well as ; 

FUTURE STARS (THE GRINCH)

• If you’re auditioning for a larger role please also sing us a short snippet of a song and recite a line from the Grinch movie!
   

SPOTLIGHT (SHREK)

• 30 seconds of a song that showcases your voice
• A scene from one of the characters, reading for the character you’re most excited about. If you do not see the Character you want to audition for in the scenes provided, please choose another scene and just let us know what your preference is.
